held at the ELC

Dr. Ann C. Wilkie
Dr. Ann C. Wilkie is an internationally recognized expert on biogas technology, a frequent speaker on the subject and an editorial board member of Biomass and Bioenergy. She has conducted research on bacterial digesting for waste treatment and on renewable energy production from biomass and organic residues, including livestock waste. “By failing to extract the energy from waste, society is wasting energy,” says Dr. Wilkie. Her current research projects include identifying fatty algae for biodesal production. She is the recipient of the 2008 Florida Energy Achievement Award of the Florida Solar Energy Center.
